2. Waterproofing of Retaining Walls of Basement
- Cleaning the surface
- Applying three coats of Dr. Fixit FASTFLEX or Ultratech HiFlex
- Providing protective plaster
3. Waterproofing of Sunken Areas, Terraces, Balconies, Toilets & Kitchens
Scope of Work
- Wall waterproofing up to 300 mm height
- Treatment of corners, junctions, pipe entries & seepage-prone areas
- Complete RCC slab waterproofing
- Slab-to-wall junction treatment
- Drain outlet protection & slope correction (where required)
Step-by-Step Process
- Cleaning the surface
- One primer coat of Powercrete (Dr. Fixit) or Ultratech SBR
- 50 mm angular fillet/gola at wall-floor junction
- Applying 2 coats of Dr. Fixit Fastflex or Ultratech HiFlex
- Water testing for minimum 3 days
- Applying protective plaster
- Filling the sunken areas with filler/PCC (by civil contractor)
- Final one coat of Powercrete / SBR
4. Thermal Insulation of Terrace
- Surface cleaning
- Marking insulation thickness
- Applying 75 mm insulation using GRAHAM INSULITE V-6 (Vermiculite) mixed with water
5. Top Coats Application
- Cleaning the dried surface
- Applying two coats of Powercrete (Dr. Fixit) or Ultratech SBR before tiling
6. Grouting & Filling of Core-Cuts
- Cleaning the core-cut area
- Fixing backup rod in the core-cut
- Filling the gap using micro-concrete
Expansion Joint & Critical Area Treatment
- Sealing expansion joints with flexible waterproofing system
- Treatment of cracks, construction joints & movement-prone zones
Technical Methodology & Materials
All waterproofing works use Ultratech-approved, high-performance systems as per manufacturer technical data sheets.
A. Surface Preparation
- Mechanical cleaning of dust, oil, laitance & loose particles
- Repairing honeycombs, pinholes & surface defects using Polymer Modified Mortar (PMM)
- Ensuring dry, sound, clean substrate
B. Primer Application
- Application of Ultratech SBR-based primer for strong adhesion
- Primer applied on all treated surfaces including walls up to 300 mm
C. Waterproofing Application
- Two coats of Ultratech HiFlex / WeatherPro elastomeric membrane
- Reinforcement using fiber mesh at corners & critical areas
- Seamless, uniform application ensuring leak-proof coverage
D. Terrace Protection & Drainage (If Applicable)
- Protective cement screed (70–100 mm)
- Use of Ultratech WeatherPro WP+200 & polypropylene/Recron fibers
- Slope maintenance (1:80 to 1:100) toward rainwater outlets
- Controlled curing for minimum 14 days
E. Testing & Curing
- Curing as per system requirements
- 72-hour ponding test before handover
